I've got my first service (at 2 years) coming up on Friday.

I bought my STX-line at a year old and 1800 miles. It's now on 5600 and the 'oil life' in the app says 55%.

I prepaid the first 2 services for £250 the pair. Will that include an oil change as I doubt it'll go another 2 years before getting to 0%? I've seen a change can be £80 extra which I'm reluctant to do if I don't need it. Alternatively I could do it in a year when the MOT will be needed.

The most basic thing a routine scheduled service always included is an oil and filter change.
I dont know how you have managed to get a 2 service plan for only £250.
My 2 service plan for my ST (serviced annually) was more than double that.

They had various 'addon' packages and I took 4 years of servicing (the first 2 services) for £250 and GAP for £200. Bargain!
I'd also pretty much bought the car within 10 minutes of it appearing on autotrader so it was a good deal all round.

Be because a 2 year service plan on a 1.0 is one service Ron

You have misunderstood. :)
It's a 2 service plan we both have, not a 2 year service plan.

My wife’s 155 Titanium had its first service, a couple of weeks ago ago, with 18,000 miles. The oil was not replaced, only topped up. The crazy thing is that this will mean that it will need to go in for a separate oil change at some stage. Where is the sense in that? I agree with Ron. There should always be an oil change at a major service. I will get the oil changed by my reliable local garage now. And I will demand an oil change at the next service, even if it costs a little more.

Yep I would expect a change as well and what prompted the post was that I'd seen facebook posts from people saying the dealer had asked if they wanted to add in an oil change as well.
Oh well I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Surely the oil should be changed on the first service? Mine was on the first service. Have you checked the service plan and what is included, as I think you can do this through the Ford website when logged on. I don't understand how the intelligent oil indicator can work if it's just topped up, but I would be complaining to the garage and Ford if it wasn't changed.

Absolutely the oil should be changed at the first service because it is the most basic part of a service.
If the oil has not been changed then this means the oil filter has not been changed either, so what the hell have they actually done at this so called service?
Never in my life have I heard of this happening before...I am honestly astounded!
I would be having a stern conversation with the dealer about this.
