Hey everyone!
I am currently trying to fit a towbar to my 2020 Ford Puma ST-Line. Have the Panoramic roof and need something to transport bikes - so boot & roof racks are not an option unfortunately.
Now, I've contacted 4 Ford dealerships in my area (Southern Ireland) and they were not super helpful. 2 didn't answer at all, 1 gave me the price of the genuine part (760 euro, EXCLUDING labour). Another one told me "don't bother with the genuine one, just get a third party fitted for 550 incl. labour". My question for warranty etc. was shrugged off by the latter.
My question is: Did anybody here have the genuine towbar retro-fitted? How much did labour cost?
Or has anbody fitted a third party one? Would anybody recommend this?
I am a bit concerened about a third party one - if that thing fails/breaks/whatever, no warranty will cover that and all the damages. Plus I am not sure how the NCT (National Car Test, needs to be done every 2 years) goes about these things too.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Cheers
