Thanks Sparks, it's working a charm now , I also had the app "optimised" so set it to "unrestricted" battery usage, so hopefully won't drop out anymore

FYI, I believe the power to the cubby socket switches off when the doors are locked

Got this in tonight but having mega problems, solid blue led? tried using troubleshooting in app, cleared data and cache several times, even uninstalled auto and reinstalled. I connected mobile first then followed instructions on screen unplugged mobile then plug in aawireless, screen coming up but no maps?, any suggestions?

*Update* on trawling through the tinternet I found a few articles on the latest Android 13 upgrade, seems that sometimes the maps are put into deep sleep and aren't included into the app launcher, workaround was simply to open the "deep sleeping" app before connecting to the car, bingo. I've been banging my head on the garage door for the last hour, DOH!

I'm getting the solid blue light too - what colour should it be if it's installed correctly?

When you say "deep sleeping app" - which one?

@Curryhouse, my maps had been put into "deep sleep" so I set maps, aawireless and android auto to unrestricted battery usage, which means they won't be put into deep sleep again the blue lights ok, I was on a bit of a goose chase there with the companion app troubleshooter when it was my mobiles settings at fault, got there in the end

Most of the hiccups with AAWireless can be tracked to phone settings rather than a fault with the programme.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you have the 'Coolwalk' update for Android Auto? Some users are still awaiting the update. It's a nice improvement IMO, especially now that Waze is onboard with it.

@Sparks, not yet, however if you put a search for coolwalks the choice of various walks pops up, will lookout for the update but don't think I'll be using it much

You need to improve your search techniques.......It's a big improvement. Once you get it you can change the look slightly by changing the DPI within AAWireless if you want....This video gives a fair overview.
