For all you ex Matelots, Amazon have a deal on Pussers gunpowder proof rum at the moment. Closest to the rum used for the tot.
Yep, thanks.. Ordered a couple of bottles, The Admiralty Blue label and a bottle of the Gunpowder proof. I finished my last bottle of Blue label a couple of weeks ago.
I still have half a bottle of 151 which is 75.5% proof and proving to be a drink you can only take once in a while or well mixed. I only have it when I know I'm not driving for 24 hours...

Evolution 255 mitre saw to replace an aging performance power by B&Q. Hope I made a decent choice. Doesn't come with a dust bag. They must have ex Ford personnel specifying what should come with a saw !
A saw without a bag does your old bag fit it
I wish I had tried your suggestion. I bought the right bag only to find the sawdust goes everywhere apart from in the bag. About as much use as the Puma load cover lol.

A new realease from a golden era for Ford.
Everybody will at the very least know somebody that owned a Capri back in the day.

A proper Capri not like the latest one. Two of my mates had the mk2. Sadly I couldn't afford one and was stuck with a Morris Marina.

Yes the new Capri is an insult to the name IMO.
The Mk.3 was my favourite made famous by Bodie and Doyle both driving 3.0 S examples.
Then the iconic 2.8i.
I always wanted a Capri but have never even driven one.

I agree. Makes you wonder if Ford work like the government where they have ministers in place who have no experience of what they are the minister for.
I drove my mates Capri just the once and the only thing I can remember now is the bump in the bonnet. Am sure it driove nice compared to the Marina I owned.

Ahh...The Marina. I had 6 of those. We had a chap at work who bought and sold them and fixed them up. I think the most I paid was £200, I'd swap them up if he got a better one in. Better meant anything from less rust and nicer paint to a better engine....they got me through the hard times.
They had the same engine as the old Morris Minors and I never had one breakdown on me and some of them had huge mileage tallies...

Mine was my first car. Bought from a work colleague for £50 as an MOT failure. It was only 9 years old with about 60k miles. My dad help me fix it up and it only failed the MOT on welding which we had done. I still remember the Reg. Mine was a 1.8. I learned all my DIY skills on that car. Clutch, brakes suspension, electrics. Ran it for about 4 years and bought a Talbot alpine from auction which had excellent bodywork but second gear was shot. Must have been an early Puma box lol. Had to go from first to third. Second hand box and all was good. Dead easy to swap on those. I ended up knowing that much on the Alpine I bought an Horizon for my wife when she passed her test.
Cars were a lot easier to work on in those days but it's nice not having my head under the bonnet or under the car every weekend.
Never really had a bad car that's blown up and the only time they stopped is when I ran out of fuel. Little money, little fuel in those days.
