I bought a second load floor and run them in both positions. The space in between is just big enough for the spare wheel and stuff - the wheel being slightly too big for the megabox unfortunately. It still leaves the megabox space and upper boot for luggage and 'stuff' on a trip.

Bit of extra faff but genius for some occasions(like when I drove to Italy and had a load of stuff I didn't need during the journey)

Hi All, as per my earlier post in response to Sparks post on this subject, the black glue I tried to fix my broken clip with hasn't really worked. So I have one left side completely snapped and right side although damaged is still working.
I'm handing the car back in a few days when I will be getting my new facelift ST. I think I need to .come clean with the dealer as it will likely be noticed in their inspection.
Has anyone ever had this part replaced and if so how much does it cost to replace?
Also do you think the dealer will be too bothered since I'm changing my car or do you think they will take it off my deposit?

Don't mention it....They won't notice it, the inspection is cursory when you are exchanging cars.
