The front fog lights are now integrated into the main head lights which i think is a crap idea.
So does anyone know how they work please advise thank you
Hopefully it stops the clowns driving around illegally with the fog lights on when its not foggy! Seems to be another modern idiotic act especially common by so called SUV and 4x4 drivers. They get a full blast of high beam when approaching me. And was happy to hear about North Yorks Police stopping cars on A66 with fog lights on and illegal number plates fitted and issued tickets to them the other week

Although the lights are commonly known as fog lights there NOT actually designed for just fog use
You can legally use them if driving down a road and you have <100 meters visibility (doesn't have to be foggy)

TBH I actually find these lights to be more a slight hinderance in foggy weather as it just amplifies the swirling fog in front of me
In fact using the Main Beam lights in fog is the worse as that just makes visibility worse iMHO

But in general yes I suppose many people do use the Fog Lights illegally and should be clamped down on

In response to the original question the facelift Puma DOESN'T have Front Fog Lights that's why there is no switch for it, it just has like said a more powerful High Beam
but like I said using that in fog probably wouldn't be beneficial

Any fog lights I've had have had a light pattern that lit up the road at a lower level therefore producing less bounce back from the fog. In a lot of cases penetrating below the mist. I can't see that brighter headlights would solve any problems, in fact it could increase them.🤷‍♂️

Agrees with Sparks on the headlights being more of a problem
As for the fog lights that's why I mentioned only a slight hinderance but still I do think having Front Fog lights are cool just due to the look of the car and of course having that extra button :)

Thanks for answering my question.
I am shocked that there is no front fog lights as normal beam is not good enough in dense fog.
You need fog lights and obviously main beam is a no no.
Just another one of Fords shit ideas to save money and i am annoyed to find this out having not long bought my new Puma.
Never heard of a carnot having fog lights before.
I also think the mild hybrid idea isnt what its made out to be either, just Fords way of trying to adhear to emissions legislation.

Press in which light control button please advise as to exactly where you mean.
The light controls switch is onRH side of the steering wheel and iv pressed in the button and rear fog comes on but no front fog.
My dealership said the rear for and front cone on together off that same button but i think the guy doesn't honestly know.
Please advise further thanks.

The one that does the headlights etc. There are no front fogs as new ST matrix lights are so cool - and we're close to the ground anyway!

Im the opposite, I have never found fog lights any use whatsoever, just an absolute annoyance to other drivers who get dazzled by them especially when used as fashion accessories as in 99% of cases

I agree with above and have never found fog lights to be of any noticeable benefit in fog.
They look good on the front of a car though.
Don't get me started on the completely useless technology callled cornering lights.

Hi not driven in fog yet, but as mentioned above I also find the new ST's matrix headlights so good, especially on dark country roads.

Was out in some fairly patchy dense fog last night and have to say the standard LED dipped beam was absolutely fine.
Main beam provided too much scatter and reflection.
Let’s face it how much fog do we encounter in the UK, it’s quite rare here in East Anglia.
