Recently there have been posts about tuning a Puma and the various options available. I think those which give greatly enhanced power require the use of super petrol, rather than the standard 95 octane. I filled up my 155STLine this evening at my local Texaco filling station. The price was 130.9p per litre. The super was 166.9p.

Costco has fuel at 125.9 unleaded and Super unleaded at 132.9. At that difference (7p) it may be worth a punt but, with 36p gap, just wasting money IMO.

There has to be something wrong there, because a 36p per litre difference between regular and super is completely ridiculous.
I've personally never seen it more than 10p.

Between 14 to 16p per litre at the money grabbing BP stations where I live. 7 out of 10 garages near me are BP. Higher normal prices too and many if them are owned by one company, Sewell Group. I would rather let my car run out of fuel than fill up there. We have a Gulf garage slightly out of town where there fuel is always much cheaper. I can't understand why people use them. Even Esso garages are cheaper. It seems Shell at the east side of the city match what BP are charging.

Enjoy the cheaper fuel now before the government sticks it back up again.

Yes the budget is going to be hard on motorists.
A rise of 10p per litre will not be unexpected

I am currently paying Β£1.39 for Shell V Power

BP Super unleaded is only 97 Octane so pretty pointless at that difference really. Most tunes that do recommend a higher octane usually state 98 +

10p fuel duty will add 12p as VAT is added so a double whammy.

Talking Costco...They virtually give the fuel away to get in members as far as I can see.....I only use it on the odd occasion I'm there as it's the other side of the city to me.
Also large queues at the weekend and holidays...
