Puma st 1.0
You must have an opinion on it if you are considering buying one.
Ok then here is mine...
The only reason one would consider buying the 1.0 ST in the current shape is if they must have an auto gearbox.
In the facelift it will be the only ST model available so one would buy it if they like the sporty image that it projects, but compared with what has come before it is not in the same class in terms of performance.

Hi all,
Just seen an ST-Line in town. With additional ST front and rear badge AND…a Mountune Yellow badge on the tailgate!
I think the introduction of a 1 litre “ST” has made owners think any Puma may as well be an ST due to the 1 litre engine.
The world’s going daft!
BTW. From various phrases used though out the forum I am guessing there are quite a fe ex HM Forces here.
Ex RAF here to start off.

I guess you could remap it to the same power output as the ST 1.0 without too much difficulty - Celtic tuning reckon they can get 177 BHP out of the 150 BHP ST Line: and that’s without changing parts.
Puma ST (Performance Pack) in Mean Green (Sold)
All well and good but why do that and then make an arse of yourself by sticking fake badges on it?
I realise your response was a touch tongue in cheek but it was a middle aged lady driver probably not even realising what she was driving.
I just don’t understand why people need to do this to a mass produced family “SUV”. Let’s not get into the BMW “M” neck of the woods…that’s another topic!

I completely agree with you Markyb
I have never understood the need for some drivers to pretend their car is different (better) to what it actually is by sticking fake badges on it.
As you say BMW 'M' and even more common Mercedes 'AMG' fake badges are absolutely rife, and now we have fake Ford 'ST' as well.
Regarding AMG badges I have had the conversation with a few owners and they actually believe they are driving an AMG and are proud of it, presumably because the badge was already on the car when they bought it used.
Nowadays and depending on the model I prefer the cleaner look of a debadged car.

I've seen a couple here....One chap had an ST badge on his Vignale which was only a few months old, he must have put them straight on...Weird.Markyb wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 11:28 am Hi all,
