OK....car back from the dealer....Recall sorted. Also asked them to check the glovebox light (in case I'd missed something).
Upshot is there is not any light fitted. They have no idea why other than Ford just didn't fit one, so they were no help.
It's not a big enough bother for me to go chasing Ford through CRC, but if anyone else is missing one and really wants it, that's the way to go.

I think they ditched it on the facelift model as my facelift doesnt have one.
Iv have 14 Fords during my 50 years of driving and every one of them had a glove box light.
This is just another way of Ford saving money as well as no front fog lights either on the new facelift model.
Again never not had fog lights either until now.
