Hi all.
Puma ST sold
Capri purchased
Not for everyone but really pleased with the technological leap. Haters gonna hate! As they say
Enjoyed the forum and will keep up to date with what’s going on - especially with the puma EV
Couple of pics
Bye bye Puma St!
290bhp. Not to be sniffed at. How many cars have had “soul” in the last 30 years to be fair? I’m happy will miss my ST but how many people really remember the Capri? I do. It was shite? Always loved Fords. Was my first and probably my last.
I understand the “soul” thing but it’s 2025.
Peace out!

The Capri has the interior the Puma facelift should have had...I like it, but not the price...
Enjoy, thanks for the contributions on here.

I can see the point of self employed/business people leasing an EV cause of the tax dodging, but as a individual purchase they make no sense at all,and what's 2025 got to do with anything, there's only 3 good looking EV's Taycan and the Jaguar lotus all the rest are fugly

I guess the 'Fugly' is only in your eyes, so not really factual....Jassyo06# wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 7:39 am I can see the point of self employed/business people leasing an EV cause of the tax dodging, but as a individual purchase they make no sense at all,and what's 2025 got to do with anything, there's only 3 good looking EV's Taycan and the Jaguar lotus all the rest are fugly

I agree about buying an EV new and would only consider a used one as it will be half the price. The very reason I didn't go for the Capri when looking to change my Puma.
I don't think I'll ever buy another car, leasing seems the way forward for me.

Personal leasing is a good way to go for a new car if,you're not bothered about individualism ie,not wanting to add on optional extras, Ive seen the new Capri whilst I was picking up the Puma in December,it's very slab sided in it's design, a divisive looking car and the black ST in the above photo looks amazingSparks wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 10:27 amI guess the 'Fugly' is only in your eyes, so not really factual....Jassyo06# wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 7:39 am I can see the point of self employed/business people leasing an EV cause of the tax dodging, but as a individual purchase they make no sense at all,and what's 2025 got to do with anything, there's only 3 good looking EV's Taycan and the Jaguar lotus all the rest are fugly![]()
Although your choices are tasty.

Various leases I've been looking at are for cars where the only optional is colour, the rest is on there (that I want). The other advantage of leasing is that you can perhaps get a better car than you would have with a PCP.Jassyo06# wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 1:57 pmPersonal leasing is a good way to go for a new car if,you're not bothered about individualism ie,not wanting to add on optional extras, Ive seen the new Capri whilst I was picking up the Puma in December,it's very slab sided in it's design, a divisive looking car and the black ST in the above photo looks amazingSparks wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 10:27 amI guess the 'Fugly' is only in your eyes, so not really factual....Jassyo06# wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 7:39 am I can see the point of self employed/business people leasing an EV cause of the tax dodging, but as a individual purchase they make no sense at all,and what's 2025 got to do with anything, there's only 3 good looking EV's Taycan and the Jaguar lotus all the rest are fugly![]()

Not sure I would call the ST 'amazing', nice, but not 'amazing'. I guess that demonstrates that beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder....

Sorry the Puma looks very ordinary standing next to that, but find it very difficult calling it a “Capri” it has no attachment toJassyo06# wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 1:57 pmPersonal leasing is a good way to go for a new car if,you're not bothered about individualism ie,not wanting to add on optional extras, Ive seen the new Capri whilst I was picking up the Puma in December,it's very slab sided in it's design, a divisive looking car and the black ST in the above photo looks amazingSparks wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 10:27 amI guess the 'Fugly' is only in your eyes, so not really factual....Jassyo06# wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 7:39 am I can see the point of self employed/business people leasing an EV cause of the tax dodging, but as a individual purchase they make no sense at all,and what's 2025 got to do with anything, there's only 3 good looking EV's Taycan and the Jaguar lotus all the rest are fugly![]()

that car whatsoever. I had two Capri’s and they were excellent very reliable and desirable cars of the time.
You can spec a car for leasing exactly the same as buying. Leasing isn’t great if you do higher mileage and has the major drawback of being stuck with it for the term. It always works out better on cars that hold their value, often premium cars
Works out better than a PCP for me. The Puma had £4,500 covid bonus put into it from the last one when bought, that's all gone now. So around a grand left in the car now and for current deals it doesn't even make a dent. A lease over the same period would have cost me less and I see little sense in going from PCP to PCP.4251 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 05, 2025 9:02 amSorry the Puma looks very ordinary standing next to that, but find it very difficult calling it a “Capri” it has no attachment toJassyo06# wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 1:57 pmPersonal leasing is a good way to go for a new car if,you're not bothered about individualism ie,not wanting to add on optional extras, Ive seen the new Capri whilst I was picking up the Puma in December,it's very slab sided in it's design, a divisive looking car and the black ST in the above photo looks amazingSparks wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 10:27 am

I figure I'm not bothered about watching the next car depreciate, even faster, the way the world is going. Come the end of the PCP I'll see if I can wrangle any more out of Motorway and sell it there or just hand it back. Then I'll lease whatever I choose from that point.
