I got a bit paranoid about amazon and ebay now and think there's a risk of them being cheap copies. But also like to get it faster after ordering. Vgate vLinker would be half the price but i think i'll prefer to go with the recommended OBDLink EX cable. I'm not sure how they compare in specs and features but I couldn't find any other than the EX locally.
Thanks for the recommendations and help either way. :) I'll get to it.

I have OBDlink EX.

You can also use Vgate Vlinker FS USB which is also supported by Forscan. In my country it would be this.

Got my OBDLink EX today in the mail, installed the drivers then tried the DSP firmware download, test and program. On the third software, the ECU one it was red and had only green on the first two.
tried a custom program of the two green ones but no change to the rear speakers.

I will try an update for the ACM next week. Hopefully i'll find a fix to the issue. At least the new cable works.

Another try of the sound fix.
I went in on the EQ settings for the DSP.
I had the as-built:
783-01-01 D605 80E7
783-02-01 15A2
And changed the D to C to disable sound enhancer, then also the 15A2 into 16A3 that sounded slightly better.
So now it is:
783-01-01 C605 80D7
783-02-01 16A3

I could also see that the ACM has an updated version as current is AM version and the latest known is AU version.
But on firmware upgrade with "Available" and download i don't get the new versions. So is it not possible to update with ForScan?

I feel like there's definately something wrong with the DSP and equaliser like a known sound bug on many B&O systems on Ford but how to get the update and is there a way to check it by the VIN on FDRS? If there is a update pending or how can i get this "faint rear speakers and SW" fixed on the 10 speaker B&O system?

I saw that licenses have been blocked as from 18th December at ForScan.

Has anyone who updates firmware on ForScan tried recently if it's possible to download anything? Would really want to know if it's possible to download the new ACM update if it had a chance to fix the speaker issue.

There's someone on the FB Forscan site who reckons he's been granted permission to issue 1 year licences for $25 USD. That's nearly double what it should be.
