Hi everyone!
On my Puma ST 2025 I noticed a metallic noise coming from the trunk area on the back when passing over pathholes.
Has anyone else this problem? Did you find the exactly source of the problem?

Thanks!

You won’t believe it but I’m having this exact issue. Seems to be coming from rear driver side trunk area. I’ve tried with removing shelf, boot tray and everything else but can’t locate it’s exact spot.
It stops when the car is wet. I have spoken to my local dealer and they are happy to look at it.

Please let me know If they find something!!
In another forum someone speaks about the rear wiper area (something under the plastic cover on the inside side of the trunk).

Update:

Senior tech at my local dealer checked my car while I was driving it and he sat in the back seat. He could hear it continuously and when we stopped back at the garage he immediately found the issue. It's a rubber trim shown in the photo attached which is causing this metallic rattle in the boot. While stationary, he applied pressure to the boot door on the side and you could hear that rattle easily. H e has ordered the new part and car is booked in for 9th April to have it fixed.

Thanks for the update!!
So Is It reproducible just applying pressure with the boot door closed? This evening I'll check it!!
Do you thinks It's fixable trying adding some sort of "Felt Pads" or rubber sticker spacer?
Maybe worth a try before speaking with the dealer

Hi Simonefavano,

Technician did stuck a piece of cloth and did helped. Boot door has got brackets that sit on the rubber pad. Noise is coming from behind that rubber pad. My car is under warranty so no problem getting the part replaced.

Thanks for your help ;)
Yesterday I wasn't able to reproduce the noise applying pressure to the boot door...in any case, just to try, I attached a felt pad on both brackets and I will keep an eye on it (or in this case....an ear :D )!!
