First proper walk around vid i’ve found of a Handling pack equipped model. Got to say the optional wheels look way better on the car than they do in the price list - although I am slightly biased as eagerly awaiting delivery of mine

According to the price list one of the things included with the handling pack is a "round steering wheel", but looking at that video it appears to be same flat bottomed steering wheel that is fitted to the pre facelift ST.
I did wonder if it would be an actual round steering wheel.
Just an observation, and this applies to all cars...I think a panoramic roof looks terrible from the outside when its open.

I don't see the point in the pano roof tbh. They can creak, they can leak, they can break. We have a lot of rain and when the sun does shine, your head gets burnt.
My wife always wanted a cabriolet. We bought a nearly new XR3 in the mid 90's. We never bought another or a car with any form of glass in the roof since.
The black looks good and reminds me of the black roofs we had on 70's cars lol.

I disliked the wheels when I first seen them, and have not changed my mind up till now. They are just too fussy, look like a wheel behind a wheel, and will be awkward and time consuming to clean.
Contrast painted black roof is a £500 option but it is included as part of the £1050 handling pack. However if you specify the £1000 panoramic roof like the car in the video has it is not available with a contrast roof, so even though it effectively looks the same you have lost the extra £500 benefit of the contrast roof from the handling pack.

Try cleaning the wheels on a Fiesta ST3 Ron....i hate the Magnitite grey finish, as for the handling pack alloys they appear to be of a matte black finish? yup the design looks a bugger for cleaning, but thats what Bilt hamber wheel cleaner is for lol, what I see from the photos is the ride hight is lower than the standard ST,I read somewhere that the KW coilovers are 3 way adjustable ?Ron240 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 10:05 am

whether thats true or not time will tell.
It's a Ford at the end of the day but an expensive one for a 170 bhp car,I got my first Audi S3 sportsback black Ed with pano roof, Sepang blue paint,B&O,comfort light & Sound pack, Technology package plus for not much more back in 2015,how have things changed
Another gripe I have is Ford Charging £800 for metallic paint, given how mediocre their paint quality is,hence the Mrs chose Frozen white, but the big changes are in the dashboard and IMHO elevate the interior to another level for a Ford that is

Yes I definitely read somewhere that the KW suspension is adjustable.Jassyo06# wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 6:37 pmI read somewhere that the KW coilovers are 3 way adjustable ?

Your S3 Saloon looked beautiful.
When I bought mine new in May 2018 I believe I paid around £36,500. I cant remember the exact amount but I know I gave Dundee Audi £9,300 plus my car.
Prices have certainly risen a lot since then...but the £40k threshold for the 'luxury tax' has remained the same.

First proper in depth review of a Handling Pack equipped car i’ve seen!
My main take aways:
- Car actually sounds pretty good for a 1L and retains the naughty soundtrack of the 1.5 (albeit without the pops and bangs)
- STHP KW suspension (in standard setup) is indeed a lot stiffer than the standard car and more akin to an RS giving it that “special” factor at the cost of severely harsh damping
- The lack of launch control really hampers this car’s ability to make an aggressive launch, could maybe have knocked off 0.3-0.4 off the 0-62 if ford had this as an option. The acceleration is nothing to write home about but if you were to put some tape over the speedo and go purely off sound and watching the rev counter, the short gears make the car seem way faster than it actually is
- not sure if it’s just the lighting and cinematography but the new interior looks like a nice place to be in this vid. Sure some harsher materials on the dash and still don’t get the placement of the air vents but the whole package works quite well and looks very 2025 which is a huge step forward.
- Conti SC 7 tires on the STHP seem to be getting a good wrap with reviewers, defo a step forward from the ageing PS4S
- Finally the STHP wheels and steering wheel, while still purely personal preference, I think are a massive improvement and give the car a visual edge.
It seems the STHP has been developed for a market for those who want the handling thrills more like an RS product but with ST Line speed so you don’t get in trouble while having some fun.
Overall i’m now very eager to take delivery of mine and experience it for myself
