ST Handling pack optional extra

Has anyone taken delivery of their Puma ST with handling pack? Looking like I should take delivery of mine in the coming weeks ( assuming no further delays ) so very excited to take it for a spin and see how it compares to my old 1.5 M6.

Can anyone comment on the ride harshness and composure of the KW springs? From watching translated polish reviews (all I can seem to find on the car lol) it sounds like the dampers are very stiff but have a near "RS" level of body control which does sound intriguing.


Any owner insight would be greatly appreciated as I eagerly await a delivery date

Be unbearable on uk roads, couldn’t think of anything worse. The standard ST 200 is more than firm enough and tolerable at above low speeds on half decent roads, a little better than Fiesta ST on ride but not handling. RS handling, what RS? the last one, mk3.5 Focus is a terrible ride and it has adaptive dampers and a much more substantial body and trim.

It'so difficult to know how much stiff they are with the handling pack!! I found this new review:


and he speaks so good about the KW suspensions...he says that are not so stiffer than the standard (without handling pack)...I don't know what to do...I don't want to regret not adding It...but I'm worried about Italian streets

Finally taking delivery of my STHP this afternoon, very excited to give it a go and see how it compares to my old 1.5

Saw Sam’s video on the STHP last night - talk about perfect timing haha

his review has given me a lot more confidence in the ride quality of my incoming car - will report back on whether his judgement was right…

Personally I wouldn’t take much notice of that guy. You need a long road test. Why do you think you need stiffer suspension? Yes it will remove a bit of the raised up body lean but maybe a proper hot hatch is a far better option in this case?

Hi! No, I'm not so interested about the stiffer suspension...actually I'm worried about it.
I'm interested about all other things included on that handling pack....It's a sum of things...I prefer the old steering wheel and I like that special wheels (but worried about the cleaning).
I don't know If in UK It's possible to do a test drive...but in Italy we don't have any ST version (standard or with HP)

Well after a 2 week delay with delivery,my wife's car arrived at the dealership on Monday morning,salesman sent her a couple of photos when it had just came off the transporter

White/black is always a good colour combination...and even the wheels dont seem too bad until you look closely and realise how fiddly and time consuming it will be to clean them.
Will you be picking it up on Saturday?

Hi Mate,she's picking the car up tomorrow afternoon and l think like most females,she'll love the Ford Puma,in this thread there has been a bit of hear say about how harsh the ride quality will/ could be?,well I'll report back this weekend,her Fiesta ST3 was IMHO was unbearable to drive a lot of the time, due to tramlining,it really was a fidgity drive, then add in the harsh ride into the equation....it would leave you a little tiered after a longish journey the tramlining being the main culprit,hopefully the wider tyres on the Puma will help with this.
All of the above aside,the Puma ST is a great looking car and although based on the Fiesta platform,after 3 Fiestas in a row for the Mrs it'll be a upgrade for her in every way,with the automatic gearbox,panoramic roof etc etc etc,in our 19 months of ownership of the Fiesta she managed to kerb 3 of the alloys,went way over the initial pcp mileage add that all up it's cost me £1900 just to break even with the outstanding finance
I am hoping the Puma will have less tramlining and less body roll,she won't notice its got less power, I will so I've purchased a TDI Tuning box which will be fitted after the car has done a few miles

Well after a 40 odd mile drive home from the dealership in really heavy rain,all I can say is l am totally blown away with this car,the suspension is night and day from the ST fiesta,it's very compliant/comfortable,no body roll/lean and feels so planted on the road,170 bhp wont do this suspension justice at all,the suspension kind of reminds of my TTS VORSPUNG which had adaptive magnetic dampers on 20 inch alloys, Externally it looks amazing,love the ride height/ alloys/new design matrix Headlights/panoramic roof,internally the seats to my amazement are far more comfortable considering they're the same design that's in the Fiesta ST3, Android Auto along with Google maps looks amazing up there with Audis displays,l can't recommend the handling pack enough for anyone that maybe interested in ticking this box
