I went on superchips and they don't have an upgrade for the Puma ST. They have one for the Fiesta ST but unsure if this would be the same?

Have a look at Quantum for their remap of the Puma ST. Very worthwhile claimed increases in power and torque. I think you will find that the various remappers no longer employ their own staff to actually do the installation, so if you opt for the installation to be done at home/place of work, the same operative is likely to turn up, whichever remapping company you have chosen. If the installer has a problem, he can normally ‘phone the software specialist for advice, or modification to suit your particular car, there and then. I was very happy with the Quantum tuning I had and the man who turned up to do the installation was knowledgeable and helpful. He was self employed and could just as well have installed a dash cam if asked to do so. I had the impression that the installer had some leeway as to what he would charge. I think he charged me less than the advertised price, even though I didn’t ask him for a discount.

The Mountune equipment and results look to be brilliant! For a simpleton like me, however, they are beyond my capability to install, so I would be stuck with the Quantum or Superchips less potent results. Mind you, I assume the Mountune would be significantly more expensive?

I am looking at the mountune m260 after my warranty runs out in 8 months. It's either that or change the car but i don't like anything else and I'm not going EV.
I've had no issues with anything in the time I've had this one, so reluctant to move on.
If I go all out for the m260 it's going to feel like a new car.

Obsoletely yes it will feel amazing. But three things to consider if going all out for ultimate upgrade.
1. You need to use Ron97 fuel or better. (Switching back to M235 if Super is unavailable)
2. I wouldn't recommend M260 in icy conditions (again simply re map back to stock or M235 - it only take minutes.
3.The bigger but - you will also need (a must) the hardware upgrades. Intercooler, Charge pipe and induction kit. Which and going by Mountune's parts availablity you will struggle to get them.
If I was you I would start with the Mountune M235 and then progress and upgrade slow time
from there.

Yeh, I've looked into it and would probably get mountune to do all the work. Make a weekend out of it.

Went to Silverstone the other week. There were so many really unique mods, upgrades, (and downgrades) to every Ford there ever existed.
I’m surprised BlueFin dont do a remap for the Puma ST. They were my choice for my previous Fiesta ST.

Mountune look the best (if expensive) route to go down.

In any case. Mrs B wont let me remap cos she’s already sick (still ) of Audi, BMW and boy racers wanting to play!

Denty. Hope you are doing well these days.

I'm new to the group so still figuring things out. I was wondering if anyone has remapped the St or is thinking about it?
Did some research on my own and came across a stage one remap box for about £ 380. It says that the power increase jumps from 200 to about 250 bhp.
Has anyone done this?
I wouldn’t bother with any remaps on a Puma ST, it has ample power and you can rarely use half of it. Any more will ruin the thing with horrible torque steer and unpleasant power delivery. For road use absolutely pointless

Sorry I don't agree. The M260 is brilliant. The map gives the car excellent progressive power and next to no significant increase in torque steer. Notwithstanding the above the car needs the LSD and those sticky PS4 tyres as in the ST performance pack to take full advantage of the tune. (PS I am no boy racer and I stick to the speed limits always)

There’s another point to remember. Buyers generally don’t like modified cars, so you need to expect to have more difficulty when selling or trading in and possibly a lower price, because of the restricted number of buyers. The less extreme modifications offered by Superchips and Quantum aren’t so problematic.
