Happy new year everyone, the cold snap has hit my town with temperatures dropping to -8 last night, this morning I tried to open the drivers door which had become frozen and the key cover case pinged off onto the floor, on inspection the long clip has snapped so I need to purchase a new cover. The design is not very good, water can seep between the gap and of the key cover and door handle causing them to ice weld together.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for an replacement part or part number so that I can look to replace and fit a new cover.
Case is Fantastic red in colour
Thanks
Mike

I'm sorry to hear about the handle damage.
I can't help regarding the parts, but living up north i can give a couple tips on preventing doors and handles getting stuck during the winter.
Door:
Get a small bottle of door rubber seal lubricant. It's like a thin bottle with a sponge on the end to apply silicone to the rubber seal. This prevents it also from getting frozen stuck during the winter. It takes so little humidity on the seal to make it stick real hard. I don't know what brands you might have in the UK but the following have the silicone sponge bottle: Korrek, Würth, Carlake, Carman, CRC.
Door handle:
"De-icing lock spray". Very tiny de-icing spray to use on locks and handlegaps to prevent damage from forcing frozen handle to open. Brands that have the lockspray: Korrek, Motip, Turtle wax, Alfakem, King, Carlake.
Prevents the small moving parts from freezing over, and function as good as in the summer. It can also be used for de-icing the small gaps in the handle.
They're also both very cheap and can prevent expensive damage.
I keep both in the glovebox, so it's wise to apply before the sub-zero temps come to do a "pre-emptive" strike
