I also now have this problem, no water out of front or rear, tried with a pin but no joy. I have just had a full service and MOT , the box was ticked saying window washers working fine!
I’ve decided to book in with Ford, would this be covered under my care plan ? Thanks

Hi, I have the same problem. Did all the simple checks and got a few 'strands' of 'gloop' floating up to the top of the filler spout when I filled the reservoir with hot water. I spoke to my local parts supplier to ask about getting a new filter (Only Fords supply them) and he kindly gave me 2 Steradent tablets (used to soak dentures overnight). He said this is a very common problem when mixing different screen washes. He said to drop them into the washer reservoir/bottle and leave overnight and the 'gloop' should be dissolved by the morning.
As this is a free potential fix I have dropped then and will see if there is a difference tomorrow.

I dont dispute that owners are being told by garages that mixing screen wash types causes this problem - but surely this fails the common sense test of whether its a credible arguement ? If its true - then surely garages "topping up" screen wash at a service shouldnt be allowed because its highly likely that an owner will have added screen wash to the car since the last time a garage saw the vehicle - and the chances of it being a different brand/type to that used by the garage are highly likely - therefore if the garage doesnt completely drain the screenwash and refill completely from scratch then they will by definition by likely to be mixing screenwash themselves !!!???

Also, if this is an actual thing then surely it would have come to light before now and be a rule of motoring that mixing screenwash types is as big a no no as mixing petrol and diesel given the problems it can allegedly cause. Surely a design fault of the Puma is more likely to be the cause, where debris and foreign items are somehow getting into the mechanism of the screenwash system.

Hi. As promised an update after dropping 2 Denture cleaning tablets into the washer bottle and left overnight.
IT HAS WORKED!!! The next morning a dribble was coming from the rear.
After day 2 the rear is fully functioning and the fronts are now spraying water half way up the windscreen and is effective at cleaning the dirt away.
We will re flush the bottle out with hot water and using a spare washer tube to blow air into the bottle at the same time as filling with hot water. This allows any gun k left to float to the top and out as hot water goes in. Once clean |I will drop a couple for tablets in to make sure before topping up with washer fluid. All for the price of less than £3.00!

HI, Denture cleaning tablets dropped into the washer bottle has worked on my puma. 2 days later and water is coming out both front and rear. Another couple of tablets over night again should clear completely. Recommended by my local parts suppler. The tablet dissolves the 'jelly' substance created from fixing fluids Less than £3 for a about 12 tablets in a tube.

Is the consensus that mixing washer fluid types is a "thing" and is what has caused the problem with these Pumas and its not a design fault on the car ?

In my 39 years of driving Ive never heard of this before and have mixed washer fluid types throughout this time on various makes of car without any problems at all. So if it is a thing - why do garages - including Ford garages - offer to top up washer fluid without draining the whole washer bottle first ? With the recent Ford UK network slim down the new garage Ive been passed to (50 miles away from where I live) has contacted me offering a free wash and vac and windscreen washer fluid top up !!!

Just because a bloke at a garage has said this is a thing doesnt make it necessarily so. In my young and naive days I had a motorbike and listened intently when it was in for a service as some bloke who worked there told me about how there was a problem "with the wood in the gearbox"
