Are you talking about the ball clips? If so they were a bad design on earlier models and the ball was a bit small. Some solved it by making the ball bigger by wrapping some tape around it.

I did exactly the same as Sparks, just a tiny bit of electrical/duct tape to make the peg a tiny bit thicker so it's a more snug fit. They haven't fallen off since (before that it was every 2-3 days).

Mine has just come back from a repair centre after a repair, nothing to do with the shelf but now, the shlef keeps falling off whrenever I close the boot. What on earth is going on or am I going to have to drive 10 miles to the Ford Dealer to sort. MY local Ford dealer, same firm, their mechanics have "never heard of the puma" let alone how to fix anything.

It's not great design, but save yourself the trip and just put a bit of tape on the 'ball' part for a more snug fit and it'll be sorted.

Hello. I’ve just purchased a 2022 Puma with the same issue. I’ve actually swapped the two connectors top and bottom and even though the shelf is uneven it now doesn’t disconnect. Possibly the best bet. Give it a try
