Re: Personalised number plate V750

Well AliMac13, I’m sure we all hope it will exceed your expectations. It’s a great car for those who enjoy driving and it’s even comfortable on long journeys.

Re: First service oil change?

When my wife’s Titanium 155 went in for service recently, the oil condition sensor said it was 45% ok. This would be because I had the oil and filter changed at 10,000 miles, as my common sense local mechanic said it is sensible and that leaving the oil for the better part of 20,000 miles is not a g...

Re: Remapping the St

There’s another point to remember. Buyers generally don’t like modified cars, so you need to expect to have more difficulty when selling or trading in and possibly a lower price, because of the restricted number of buyers. The less extreme modifications offered by Superchips and Quantum aren’t so pr...

Re: vehicle dead

If you need a new battery, my advice is to buy a good one by a reputable manufacturer and don’t try to save money by regular recharging of the present battery, especially with winter approaching. It will cost you a lot more if you have to be recovered.

Re: First service oil change?

My wife’s 155 Titanium had its first service, a couple of weeks ago ago, with 18,000 miles. The oil was not replaced, only topped up. The crazy thing is that this will mean that it will need to go in for a separate oil change at some stage. Where is the sense in that? I agree with Ron. There should ...

Re: Personalised number plate V750

I do as Arms says. I take delivery of the car with the plates for the new number allotted to it. When the authority to fit the new plates come through, I fit them. The cost of new plates is not very much and you then have the plates also for the reg. no. allotted to the new car as well, which you wi...

Re: Remapping the St

The Mountune equipment and results look to be brilliant! For a simpleton like me, however, they are beyond my capability to install, so I would be stuck with the Quantum or Superchips less potent results. Mind you, I assume the Mountune would be significantly more expensive?

Re: Remapping the St

Have a look at Quantum for their remap of the Puma ST. Very worthwhile claimed increases in power and torque. I think you will find that the various remappers no longer employ their own staff to actually do the installation, so if you opt for the installation to be done at home/place of work, the sa...

Re: Remapping the St

The Superchips remap is only £225 during an August offer. The offers come around from time to time. It is cheap tuning, however you look at it.

Re: Remapping the St

I see that Quantum tuning, which I have used in the past, say that their remap gives the following results for the ST 1.5: BHP 230 (up 16%) Torque 370 nm (up 27%) These are worthwhile improvements. For the STLine 155 Superchips give these figures: 153 standard up to 166, an increase of 13 bhp; 220nm...
