Little walk around of the new model. Not in English
It will be of limited use for us then.
I seen that he was talking about the missing right stalk...would have been interesting to hear what he said.
It looks like all functions are integrated into the left stalk now.
The overall dashboard design really is so much nicer on that ST compared with mine.
When a facelift model comes along with any car the exterior looks can be divisive, but the interior is usually regarded by all as an overall improvement which makes the old one look dated.
Yeah we had a fiesta before so felt the puma interior was getting a bit long in the tooth. I’ve got to say the new dash looks much better in video than it did in the press release photos but I still can’t believe they stuck with the monstrosity that is that gear lever and generally low centre console area, seems like a bit of a waste of space considering everything else got a revamp. I was going to upgrade to the 1.5 but might give the power shift a test drive when it’s out.

So not only does the analogue part of the speedo have no numbers or bezel , the rev counter now doesn’t either. Surely not, looks crap.

Someone else might be able to confirm this, but when I configured on Ford UK website and include all the extras to the ST line x 155 price to match the ST I think the ST is cheaper !
But still a heck of a lot more than it was previously 😩

Also when you add a panoramic roof £1000 it automatically adds the contrast black roof at £500 ..... Is this how it was before?

Contrast black roof was not available with panoramic roof previously, which makes sense because the roof will be black anyway.
On the ST there was no difference because the pillars are body coloured regardless.

so after watching the video posted by halfmeasures the new ST is an ST without the engine.
Is this correct ?

I wonder if the steering wheel is so big so that it doesn't block the larger dash screen

The video was originally posted by seyahremmus on the previous page...you have looked at one of 2 posts where it has been reposted in a quote :)
The 'new ST' uses an existing ST engine.

I honestly don’t like the new dash. People are saying that the centre screen now looks like it was designed to fit rather than an add on, which I can understand, but why aren’t they now saying that the driver screen looks like an add on rather than designed that way. In my opinion, it looks horrendous and was far better when integrated rather than just lumped in front of the wheel, which is now oversized to allow that.

Further to My comment about the black contrast roof for the new Puma. In the new Puma brochure/specifications it has the ST with a black contrast roof included at no extra cost, where the new Puma configuration has the ST black contrast roof at an extra option for £500 🤔

Well I think Mike is correct, as the new ST uses the 1.0 engine not the 1.5, so it's not really the ST engine.

I can only repeat what I said.
The 'new ST' uses an already existing ST engine.
There is nothing new about this engine.
