Front Collision sensor Issue

Is it just me or is the FCS very mard
I mean all it takes for me is to get a light spray from the ground on it or even light rain at times and it throws out the Pre Collision sensor blocked
It seems like that feature (and Adaptive Cruise Control as it uses the same sensor) will only reliably work on dry days

Very frustrating or do I have a faulty sensor - I mean i'm very careful with my Puma and up until the month and a half or so have cleaned it regulary since I bought it back in June last year

Not had a problem with mine, even through all those torrential downpours. As it's a basic form of Radar, I would not have thought that anything much would block it.
As it's a major safety feature you should get it checked at the dealers.

Mine can be a bit erratic, would activate when I am no where near anything, not tried it out for real! If I am honest, while I appreciate that these are a safety feature I have managed for the last 40 years of driving without one.

Check if the front number plate is blocking or is too close to the sensor

Spray should have any effect on it at all. I've had my cruise running through the worst spray of the past month or so. No false collision reports even after having the front end covered in mud, I only wiped off the front sensors as they kept bleeping, but didn't touch the radar.
