Panoramic roof

I drove with my roof open yesterday. It was great: no wind buffeting. Opening the roof on my last car, a Mazda 6 created so much noise and buffeting that it was almost unusable.

Re: Dash cam recommendations

We have Road Angel Halo Pro, front and rear. I believe it will take photos if someone bumps the car when it’s parked etc. Seems fine, haven’t tried others. Probably sensible to read online reviews, including those by actual users.

Very interesting, thank you. We shall be having a few days in northern France next month and we usually drive to the Dolomites in August.

Re: 200hp discontinued?

I wonder if the ST 200bhp will become more desirable now that it’s been discontinued? Might have to wait a few years, but look at the XR3i.

Re: Brake Wear / Replacement.

The road over the Rest and Be Thankful, then via Inveraray , and Lochgilphead and Kilmartin to Oban is beautiful and a very enjoyable drive. It’s great on a motorbike, so it has to be good in a Puma. If you have time, bear left about 2 miles after Lochgilphead to Crinan, a fantastically beautiful pl...

Re: Blocked Windscreen Washers Front & rear

A couple of years ago there was a report of BMW refusing a warranty claim for a faulty screen washer system because the car owner had not been using the official BMW washer fluid from a BMW dealer. It sounded ridiculous then and still does. I have never had a problem using washer fluid bought from A...

Re: Horn sounds pathetic.

The horn is definitely pathetic. It’s as bad as that I had on a Citroen C4 a few years ago. My last car, a Mazda 6, had a proper horn. When I was young, I used to fit air horns to my car. They were what a horn should sound like.

Re: 2024 Ford Puma announced

I also am not keen on the squared steering wheel. I think it’s what’s known as a triumph of design over practicality. Anyone remember the much ridiculed square steering wheel in the disliked Austin Allegro? I wonder if tastes have changed over the years. The question is: does it have a useful purpose?

Re: MPG

I picked up my Puma STLine155 on 20 December and now have around 2,200 miles on the clock. We shall be driving from Bridgnorth to a hotel near Llangollen next week, 4 up with luggage and I shall be interested to see what the mpg is. I try to drive economically, but keeping up to the speed limit, to ...

Re: Ford ev sales

What’s really needed is for a clever person to come up with a really efficient solar panel, which could be fitted to EVs, so that mains charging would only need to be an infrequent top up and journey distance shouldn’t be a problem. There has been a suggestion that some multi storey car parks may no...
